# Eleven Music v2 API > Eleven Music v2 by ElevenLabs: a track from a description with or without vocals and background music for your video. Tracks up to 10 minutes, and you can attach a sound reference. Developer: ElevenLabs Model key in the API: `elevenlabs_music` ## Connect in three steps 1. The code starts a task and waits for the result. Omitted optional fields take their default values. #### `prompt` (Required) What music is needed: genre, mood, instruments, tempo. Describe the voice here too, and give your own lyrics here naming their language. - Type: String - Minimum characters: 1 - Maximum characters: 4100 #### `model` (Optional) Model version: 2.5 is the newest, 2 is the previous one. The model takes instruments, sound, tempo and mood from it, the genre stays as described. No effect without a reference. - Type: String - Allowed values: `low`, `medium`, `high`, `xhigh` (Maximum) - Default: `"medium"` #### `output` (Optional) Format of the finished file: standard MP3, best quality MP3 or lossless WAV.
